A Novatec infrared oven dramatically reduces pre-heat time. While a traditional convection oven takes around four hours to heat a typical die for a mid-size press, the infrared oven will bring the same die to temperature in less than an hour.
The fast heat-up increases production flexibility, making it much easier to adjust scheduling. Dies can be placed in the oven much closer to when they’re actually needed, minimizing the time they spend at high heat and thus reducing the potential for oxidization.
Infrared heating also offers an energy savings of greater than 50% over convection heating and when replacing gas heating offers a better than 50% energy savings plus elimination of your greenhouse gas emissions.
